Lambing at Hill Farm

Lambing went well this year not much sleep for Roy and myself, unlike our lucky visitors in The Warren! Plenty of pet lambs to feed, new visitors enjoying watching them out in the field running up and down the fence line, more hens sitting on eggs, in a  couple of weeks should have chicks which will please my husband. More exciting news soon!

Christmas Over….. let the New Year Begin!!

We started January 2015 very slow at The Warren but getting busier as month goes on.

Lambing due 19th March although the Kerry Hill Flock lamb at end of February and three promiscuous ewes who managed to visit a neighboring ram! Chickens numbers expanded lasy year 40 odd bantams now take over the garden, Ive been given an ultimatum by Roy……Cirencester Poultry Sale, don’t worry bantam lovers, Ill leave the cutest at The Warren!!!!!!!

Looking forward to opening our other accommodation later this year for  a single/double accommodation soooooo excited!!

Rain… what rain?

Everyone thinks farmers pray for rain. It isn’t true dad has been doing his rain dance and his shorts are on! They don’t go too well with his wellies!

Camera Shy Chickens

In April our chickens went in front of TV cameras for a small production. Roy spent the morning chasing and feeding them cheerio cereal to encorage them to perform for the cameras.
